Project Summary
Fusion was commissioned by Farnborough College of Technology (FCoT) to provide Project Management and Cost Management services on the delivery of a new-build two-storey Aerospace Research & Innovation Centre. The new-build facility was designed and constructed to expand upon the College’s specialism in the field of Aerospace engineering and innovation and encourage greater interaction between local and international businesses within the industry and the College’s students.
The project was delivered over several stages and involved the refurbishment of the existing D Block building, the demolition of an existing two-storey building (C Block), which was dated and no longer fit for purpose, and the construction of a new-build two-storey facility, providing the College with modern, flexible and adaptable spaces for companies and students to work collaboratively on new and innovating technologies. The new-build facility is also linked to the adjacent D Block, to create a unified Aerospace Research & Innovation Centre (ARIC).
