Assistant Project Manager
Albert Taylor

Albert joined Fusion in January 2022 as an Assistant Project Manager, having recently completed a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Reading. During Albert’s time at Fusion, he has been involved in the project management of several HE projects ranging in value from £70k up to £4m.

Albert has shown himself to be an effective communicator, with the ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders. He is driven to achieving success as part of a team and will go above-and-beyond to ensure his projects are successfully delivered. In September 2022, Albert began studying towards an MSc in Construction Project Management alongside working with Fusion, with a long-term vision of becoming RICS qualified.

Outside of working, Albert enjoys listening to music, watching football and seeing friends, as well as going for walks along the seafront.

Associate Director
Andrew Chauvin – BSc, DipProJMan, MRICS

Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor and qualified Project Manager with over 30 years’ experience in the construction and property industry. His experience has involved working in the commercial property, housing, health, regeneration, education and local government sectors.

He has undertaken a variety of roles including: cost management, project management, development management, technical advisory and consultancy commissions. These roles have varied from one off facilitation sessions to advising on and managing the delivery of large-scale complex procurements, involving partnering and PFI arrangements, for both the public and private sectors.

Assistant Project Manager
Ben Houghton – BSc

Ben has recently joined Fusion as an Assistant Project Manager, after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Business Management. He is currently working in one of Fusion’s Project Management teams, providing support on a range of Further Education projects in and around London.

Ben is looking forward to gaining experience and developing his skills whilst working on a variety of projects in the Education sector. Outside of work Ben enjoys staying active and is also a keen footballer.

Office Administrator
Chrissy Bench

Chrissy is the office administrator in Chelmsford having joined Fusion in November 2021. Chrissy is here to mainly support Sarah the Office Manager with her role.

Chrissy started her career working for organisations including NatWest & James Capel, before taking time out to raise part of her family. She returned to work joining Essex County Council, where she worked until she extended her family. After returning to work, Chrissy worked at Club Woodham and Essex Cricket before recently joining Fusion.

Chrissy hopes to become a valued member of the Fusion Team building strong relationships with clients and staff.

Chrissy loves dogs and has rescued 4. In her spare time, she likes to walk the dogs and goes to various Soul music events, as she loves to dance.

Project Manager
Charlene Pearman – BSc (Hons) MSc MAPM

Charlene has a master’s degree in project management and a bachelor’s degree in Genetics. She started her project management career with Fusion and is assisting on a range of construction projects in the education sector within London’s Tri-borough area.

Before working in Project Management Charlene enjoyed a diverse career spanning Hospitality and Medical Laboratories.

Charlene is a member of the Association of Project Management and is working towards her RICS accreditation.

Outside of work Charlene is an active member of the community, regularly volunteering for local charities, as well being a part of the Girl Guiding family where she is a Brownie leader.

Chris Wrench – BSc (Hons) MRICS

Chris is a Chartered Member of the RICS and has a BSc in Construction Consultancy Management from Greenwich University. As an Associate Director, Chris has over 12 years of experience delivering strategic and construction project management services across a range of clients.

Associate Director
Dan Porter – MSc

Dan joined Fusion as a Graduate PM in 2013, having completed an undergraduate degree in Marketing. Whilst at Fusion, Dan completed a Masters Degree in Project Management and is now an Associate Director, delivering strategic and construction management to a range of clients.

Dan’s project experience ranges from small refurbishments to large new builds and multi-phased redevelopments up to a value of £80m, working for clients in the FE, HE and commercial sectors. His approach is to build strong relationships with clients and working to ensure that their key project drivers are met, whilst being proactive in finding solutions to any project challenges that may arise.

Dan maintains an interest in marketing and branding and played an active role in the rebranding of Fusion following the merger with 3BM. In his spare time, he enjoys watching football and is a lifelong supporter of Newcastle United, despite being born in Essex.

Associate Director
Dan Powell – BSc (Hons)

Dan has over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. He started his career in a PQS role and went on to join a main contractor as their lead Quantity surveyor. Dan is now an Associate Director of Quantity Surveying for Fusion.

Dan’s approach is to embed himself within the client’s team to not only act as the projects Quantity Surveyor but to become part of the overall team to ensure all works are fully designed in line with the selected procurement route and the risk moving forward for the client is mitigated.

Dan has a vast experience within the construction sectors of both new build and refurbishment. His main areas of expertise are within Education and Healthcare. Dan has also delivered a vast range of commercial and residential project from early feasibility through to project completion.

Outside of work Dan enjoys golf, motorsport and running.

Contract & Bid Manager
Danielle Denwood

Danielle joined Fusion at the end of February as the Contract and Bid Manager, this is a new role within the company but with 20 years’ experience of being a merchandiser her skillset is unique. Danielle is organised and has the ability to identify problems and resolve them in a timely manner.

Having built strong, lasting relationships over the years, Danielle is capable of liaising with multiple individuals/clients/suppliers to pull all of the information together, whilst keeping a level head, and meeting the deadline.

Outside of work Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being a mum to two young girls, as well as going to the gym when she has the time.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
Dean Grundy – BSc (Hons)

Dean has been a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry for more than 20 years and has experience in a range of sectors that include Energy, Transport, Education and Commercial projects.

Prior to joining Fusion, Dean was involved in many secondment roles for large organisation, undertaking cost planning and reporting, benchmarking and general cost advice throughout the life cycle of the projects he worked on.  This has allowed him to develop his knowledge and skillset a diverse range of environment. Dean is now working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor with the RICS, to further develop his expertise in the industry.

Outside of work Dean is a keen follower of cricket and football and he is really looking forward to the future, seeing his boys start to play the games more seriously.
